Hanken Department Becomes National Centre of Excellence 2007-2009
The Finnish Higher Education Evaluation Council (http://www.kka.fi ) has appointed the Department of Management and Organisation at Hanken as a national centre of excellence for for the second time.
In teaching, a lot of effort is devoted to innovative teaching methods and the interface to the business community is strong. Many of the teachers and researchers at the department are involved with projects that are based on in-depth cases of Finnish or foreign companies.
The Hanken MBA Programme utilises the expertise of several teachers and researchers in the Department of Management and Organisation. For instance, in the year 2007 the following people from the department were involved in teaching the MBA:- Ingmar Björkman, Professor (Teacher of the Year 2005 & 2007, Hanken)
